Mark’s Journey to Finding Heath and Happiness

MarkAfter 10 years in the physical therapy and fitness business. I realized that something needed to change.  Although from the outside you could say we were successful professionally and financially, what I saw on the inside of our practice was our patients, fitness members, employees and owners were unhealthy (or not as healthy as we could be) and we were not improving the quality of our health or lives. Medical costs were increasing, reimbursements from our providers were decreasing and I too was suffering from health-related issues and I was the owner of a health and fitness business! 

I decided to make a change. I found a Health Coach and a health coaching program (the same one I coach others on today) to guide me to get my health back. I needed some structure, a simple plan to follow and a support system to hold me accountable and within 90 days I had lost 50 pounds and I felt 10 years younger. My productivity increased, relationships with my family and friends improved and I began to think of the potential impact on humanity if those around me decided to do the same thing and I got excited about the possibilities.

I began to challenge my co-workers, business partners and peers to join me in getting healthier and they began to follow my lead. Some enrolled in the health coaching program and some took part in a health challenge we offered to all our employees, patients, fitness members and the community members. The results were simply amazing. Hundreds of people were eating healthier, losing weight, getting active, exercising, sleeping better and reducing their stress and medications. We began to build a supportive community of healthier people and it created a ripple effect throughout my business and personal life. Friends and family members began transforming their health because of what they saw happening in my life and practice and that was when I knew we were on the cusp of a wellness revolution and I wanted to help lead the charge. 

Over time I began spending less time working in my Physical Therapy and Fitness business and I began sharing what I was doing in my business with my Health Professional peers. They were excited to follow my lead so I began coaching them on how to get healthier and how to implement the health coaching and health challenges into their practice. I began to see a massive impact in the lives of hundreds of leaders and health professionals and I was enjoying life, family and my work at a whole new level. After five years of slowly stepping out of the world of reactive healthcare, I decided to step into the world of proactive healthcare full-time and sold initially sold my Physical Therapy practice and then my Fitness business.

I’ve now seen thousands of individuals get healthier with our health coaching program and challenges and I’m more excited then ever to partner with more leaders to assist them in improving their health, life and potentially business through the personal coaching services and programming we offer.
